Toddler Program (15 – 30 months)
Building Trust and Nurturing Independence
This program is designed to encourage play as a form of expression and self-discovery. As toddlers seek to build trust in the people and environment around them, our team will spend the day in a flow with the children which honours their age and development. Frequent connections with nature, locally-sourced natural materials and our large outdoor play and learning spaces are an essential part of the program.
Independence is nurtured as the children learn to understand and manage their individual and emotional needs, at the same time, develop connections with friends and their teachers. Health and safety procedures will also become second nature as they learn about hygiene practices and play safety.
Preschool Program (2.5 – 4 years)
Understanding The Self, Making Connections and Community Building
This phase of a child’s life is one of tremendous growth and change as they embark on the transition from toddlerhood to early childhood. In this program, the children will explore and expand their understanding of people, ways of life and the world around them through culturally-rich experiences, inside and outside projects, stories, characterization and imaginative play.
They will learn to value being part of a classroom community as well as an island community in Bali. Learning about cultural diversity, considering the perspectives of others, building friendships and developing a caring attitude towards others and the environment, are core elements of this program alongside introductions to pre-literacy and pre-numeracy foundations. Our teachers also play a nurturing role in supporting children in learning about emotional literacy and mindfulness.
Kindergarten & Prep Program (4 – 6 years)
Making Discoveries, Collaboration, Nurturing Emerging Strengths
At this age, children can use their expanded language abilities and awareness of the world to have meaningful conversations and represent their discoveries in increasingly complex ways. This program is designed to nurture emerging strengths and abilities by listening and responding to children’s questions and ideas. Opportunities for learning lifelong skills such as collaboration, research, problem-solving and presentation are offered through diverse learning experiences.
The children learn to deepen their awareness of themselves, what they love and believe in and what they bring from their own world into the classroom. We also take every opportunity to build on the foundations of pre-literacy and pre-numeracy understanding in natural and authentic contexts.
